Defenders of Al-Aqsa is a series of books that charts the lives of Nur ad-Din Zangi, Salah ad-Din Ayyubi and Baybars. 

These three individuals provide exemplary commitment and dedication in defending Masjid Al-Aqsa. 

Their stories of bravery, sacrifice and justice are a model for everyone.



Baybar’s life started as a nomad, taken into slavery by the Mongols, and ended up in the Sultan’s palace in Egypt.

His bravery and strength soon saw him promoted to army general.

He successfully faced the greatest threats of the time from the Mongols and the Crusaders, who were both trying to take over Masjid Al-Aqsa.

The book outlines Baybar’s rise to power, his military skills and his defence of Masjid Al-Aqsa.
