The people are reminded about the fate of those who rejected Sayyidunā Hūd alayhis salaam. Not only did they disbelieve in Sayyidunā Hūd alayhis salaam and reject his message, but they displayed sheer arrogance by demanding for the punishment to be inflicted upon them if what he claimed was true.
