Qualities of the Pious
Allāh subhanahu wa ta’ala is the ultimate cause and Creator of all that exists—from the grandeur of the heavens, angels, and earthly elements to the natural processes that sustain life, such as the winds, rain, seas, and agriculture. These manifestations are clear signs of His existence and power. Moreover, good and evil are never equal; the pious, who strive for taqwa and live with awareness of the Ākhirah, are distinct from those who indulge in sin without concern. Reflecting on these signs should inspire one to return to their Creator, whose majesty surpasses even His most awe-inspiring creations
Good and evil can never be alike, Allāh subhanahu wa ta’ala mentions the qualities of the pious. A person who strives in the path of Allāh subhanahu wa ta’ala to achieve taqwa can never be in the same category as a person who indulges in sins and has no care or concern for the Ākhirah. Through contemplating and reflecting on Allāh’ssubhanahu wa ta’ala signs, a person should be inspired to return back to their Creator, Who is even more magnificent than His creation.
